In BoldSales, the contact details view displays key information like contact information, associated deals, tasks, events, and communication history helping users manage interactions and plan follow-ups effectively.

Steps to access contacts details view

Navigate to the setup
  • Click on Setup in the left navigation menu (Shortcut Shift + *).
Create a permission set
  • Go to Security > Permission Sets.
  • Click + Create Permission Set and enter a name and description and clone from existing permission sets and click Create.
  • In the permissions set’s details page under Access section, select the Contacts module and ensure the View permission is enabled for All records.
  • If the user needs additional actions like Edit, Delete enable those as required.

Assign the permission set to a user
  • You can assign users set by clicking on Manage users, then clicking Assign Users
  • Click Assign to add users to the permission set.

Verify access
  • Ask the user to log in and navigate to the Contacts module.
  • Click on any contact record to confirm they can view the contact details.
  • If access is still restricted, double-check the permission set settings.

How do I restrict access to editing or deleting contacts?

In the permission sets settings, select the access level as No records for Edit and Delete under the Contacts module access levels settings before assigning it to a user.

Can I assign multiple permission sets to a user?

No, a user can only have one permission set assigned at a time. To modify access, update the existing permission set or assign a different one.

How do I remove a user’s access to contact details?

To remove user’s access to contact details, reassign the user to another permission set that does not have access to the contact module.
