All important system activities in BoldSales are logged in audit logs for transparency and accountability. This allows users to filter and search these logs to quickly find specific events, view system changes, and address anomalies.

Filter logs to detect suspicious activities like multiple failed login attempts, access from unusual IP addresses, or privilege escalation.

Incident response

Quickly isolate relevant events during a security breach by filtering logs by user, time, or event type to reconstruct what happened.

Filtering audit logs

Users can filter the audit log view to display only relevant activity.

Steps to filter audit logs
  1. Navigate to Setup > Security > Audit Logs.
  2. Click Filter at the top-right of the audit logs screen.
  3. Apply one or more of the following filters:
    • Timestamp – Select a date range to display logs for a specific period.
    • Categories – Choose a module (e.g., Users, Pipelines, Workflow Rules, Sales Documents).
    • Actions – Filter by action types (Added, Modified, Deleted).
    • Performed by – Track activity performed by a particular user.
  4. Click Apply to refine the results.

Note: Filtering system events allows for quick reference, improving efficiency in audits and troubleshooting.

Tracking security changes

An administrator wants to monitor login failures to detect unauthorized access attempts. They apply the following filters:

  • Category: Users
  • Action: Login Attempt Failed
  • Performed by: All users

This helps the admin quickly identify potential security threats.

Reviewing workflow modifications

A sales manager needs to verify who modified a deal automation rule. They use:

  • Category: Workflow Rules
  • Action: Modified
  • Timestamp: Last 7 days
