Monitoring changes to contacts, deals, and accounts

Updated:

Keeping track of changes in contacts, deals and accounts is crucial for maintaining data accuracy and ensuring transparency within BoldSales. The Settings Audit Trail provides a detailed log of modifications made to critical records, allowing Admin users to efficiently monitor updates.

While a global search for audit logs is not supported, filters allow users to track specific changes by selecting Timestamps, Categories, Actions, and Users who performed modifications.

Use cases

Tracking updates to contact details

CRM contacts often undergo updates, such as changes in phone numbers, email addresses, or company associations. The Settings Audit Trail helps admins monitor who modified contact information and when these updates occurred.

Monitoring deal progress and stage changes

Sales deals move through different pipeline stages, and tracking these movements ensures visibility into sales progress. Admins can use the audit trail to check when a deal was moved to a different stage, modified, or marked as won/lost, providing insights into sales performance.

Auditing changes to account records

Managing customer accounts effectively requires knowing when key details like billing addresses, associated contacts or ownership details are modified. The audit trail allows teams to monitor who made the updates and what specific changes were applied.

Reviewing modifications made by team members

In sales and customer support teams, multiple users may access and modify CRM records. The audit trail helps managers and admins track who performed specific actions, preventing unauthorized changes and ensuring accountability.
