Linking emails
BoldSales allows you to link email conversations directly to deals, contacts, and companies. This ensures communication is centralized, easy to track, and visible to your entire team. Linked emails help you maintain context, improve collaboration, and provide a full communication history within the CRM.
Steps to link emails in BoldSales
Manually link an email to a deal, contact, or company
- Go to the relevant module (e.g., Deals).
- Click on a specific record to open its detail view.
- Select the Emails tab.
- Click New Email.
- Compose your message or choose an email template.
- Click Edit linked records.
- In the popup, check Link Email Conversation.
- Select one or more related records (deal, contact, or company).
- Click Update to apply the link.
Enable automatic linking for contacts and companies

Go to Setup > Email Setup in the sidebar.

Find the Link email conversation with contacts and their companies section.

Select a linking behavior:
- Enabled: Automatically links emails to recipient contacts and their companies.
- Disabled: Keeps emails only in your inbox.
- Use organization settings: Applies your org-wide default.

Click Edit to change the setting.

Click Save to confirm.
How to view linked emails
Once linked, emails appear in the Emails tab of the associated record.
- Navigate to the related deal, contact, or company.
- Click on the Emails tab.
- Review details such as sender, recipients, timestamp, and email body.
Edit or remove linked records
If an email was linked to the wrong record or needs an update:
- Open the email from the Emails tab.
- Click Edit Linked Records.
- Add or remove records as needed.
- Click Update to save changes.
To unlink an email entirely, remove all associated records.
