Viewing tasks in calendar view

Updated:

The Calendar view in BoldSales is designed to give you a clear, time-based perspective of your tasks. Instead of working through long lists, you can see tasks visually arranged by date and time, making it easier to plan your day, week, or month.

Use cases

Scheduling follow-ups for contacts and companies

Follow-ups are critical for nurturing leads. Calendar view helps you visualize when follow-up tasks are due, so you can plan calls or emails without overlapping schedules.

Planning activities for a specific day or week

If you have a busy day or week ahead, the Day and Week layouts allow you to see all tasks organized by time slots. This helps prioritize urgent tasks and allocate time effectively.

You must have the Tasks module access granted in your permission set and the Create tasks permission enabled to create a new task. Contact your CRM administrator to request access if you do not have this permission.

Opening the calendar view

  • Go to Activities > Tasks from the left sidebar menu.
  • Click the Grid view dropdown at the top-right of the listing page.
  • From the dropdown options, select Calendar view to display tasks in a calendar layout.

The selected view will be used by default whenever you access the Tasks page, until the application cache is cleared or the view is changed manually.

Viewing tasks across different calendar layouts

In Calendar view, use the layout selector at the top to switch between Today, Day, Week, Work Week (Monday–Friday), Month, and Agenda views to see tasks by a single day, full week, weekdays only, monthly overview, or as a chronological list.

Adding a task from the calendar

In Calendar view, you can create tasks by following the below steps.

  • Click directly on the desired date and time slot in the calendar.
  • A quick create form will open with the selected date and time prefilled.
  • Enter the details and click Create.
