Viewing events in calendar view

Updated:

You can view and manage events in a calendar layout for better scheduling and planning. This guide explains how to switch to Calendar view, explore different layouts (Day, Week, Work Week), and create events directly from the calendar.

Use cases

Agenda-based review

A project manager needs a clear, chronological list of upcoming events to stay organized and ensure nothing is overlooked. They switch to Agenda layout to review all events in sequence for better planning.

Planning work week activities

An employee prefers focusing on weekdays only. They switch to Work Week layout to avoid weekend clutter and schedule events for Monday–Friday.

You must have access to Events module in your permission set and the Create events permission enabled to create a new event. Contact your CRM administrator to request access if you do not have this permission.

Opening the calendar view

  • Go to Activities > Events from the left sidebar menu.
  • On the events page, click the Grid view dropdown located at the top-right.
  • From the dropdown options, select Calendar view to display events in a calendar format.

The selected view will be applied by default each time you access the Events page, until you either clear the application cache or manually switch to a different view.

Viewing events across different calendar layouts

The Calendar view has a layout selector at the top that allows you to switch between Day for a single day’s events, Week for the entire week, Work Week for weekdays only, Month for a monthly overview, and Agenda for a chronological list of events.

Adding an event from the calendar

You can create an event in the Calendar view by following the below steps.

  • Select a specific date or time slot directly in the calendar.
  • The Create Event drawer will open with the chosen date and time pre-filled.
  • Enter the remaining details.
  • Click Create & Invite if your calendar is connected or Create if your calendar is not connected.
