Steps to view data access logs and audits
Access the logs
Navigate to Setup > Security > Audit Logs.
Use filters to refine logs
Timestamp
- Select a date range to filter logs based on when an action occurred.
- Choose a start date and end date using the date picker.
- The calendar view provides a quick selection of days, weeks, or months.
- Available predefined options include:
- Today
- Yesterday
- This week
- Last week
- This month
- Last month
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- Last 60 days
- Custom range
- Click to Apply.
Categories
- Select one or more values from the dropdown menu.
- Click Select All to include all categories or choose specific ones from the following options:
- Users – Logs changes related to user accounts.
- Roles – Tracks modifications in role assignments.
- Permissions – Logs updates to permission sets.
- Teams – Captures team-related changes, such as new team creation or modifications.
- Fields – Tracks updates to custom fields and form configurations.
- Pipelines – Logs changes in pipeline structures, including stage modifications.
Actions
- Select one or more values from the dropdown menu.
- Click Select All to include all actions or choose specific ones:
- Added – Captures when a new record is created.
- Modified – Logs updates or edits to existing records.
- Deleted – Tracks when a record is removed from the system.
Performed by
- Filter logs based on the user(s) who performed the action.
- Select specific users to track their activity.
- Click Select All to see logs for every user.
Applying filters
- Click Apply to view results based on the selected filters.
- Click Clear all to reset all filters and view the full log history.
