Setting up the user profile

The user profile lets you personalize your BoldSales by updating your profile details, adjusting display preferences, and connecting your email, calendar, and video conferencing tools for seamless communication and event scheduling.

Profile details

There are two ways to access your profile settings:

  • Click your Profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then click View profile & settings from the menu.
  • Go to Setup > My Profile > User Details.

In the Details tab, you’ll find your basic information, including First name, Last name, Phone number, and Email address — these details define your user information across the BoldSales.

You must have the Manage users permission enabled in your permission set to update these details. Contact your CRM administrator to request access if you do not have this permission.

Preferences

Go to Setup > My Profile > Preferences.

  • Under Application theme, switch between Light or Dark theme to suit your viewing comfort.

  • Under Time zone, select your preferred time zone (e.g., (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)). This ensures that timestamps on activities, meetings, and tasks reflect your local business hours. This setting will override the organization’s default time zone.

  • Under Default view, choose a system view or one of your saved views to load automatically when you open a module. For example, setting All Contacts as the default view in the Contacts module ensures that you’ll always see this view when you open it. This setting will override the organization’s default setting.

Connect your email

Go to Setup > My Profile > Email.

Connect your Gmail, Outlook, or other providers to sync your email communications seamlessly with the BoldSales. Emails are automatically associated with relevant contacts, deals, and other records, ensuring all key interactions are captured in one place. The available provider options depend on your organization’s settings.

You must have the Override organization email defaults permission enabled in your permission set for other advanced settings. Contact your CRM administrator to request access if you do not have this permission.

Connecting your calendar

Go to Setup > My Profile > Calendar.

Sync your calendar to keep all your tasks and events in one place. Once connected, your Google or Outlook calendar events can be managed directly from the BoldSales, ensuring your scheduling stays consistent across platforms.

Connect your video conferencing platform

Go to Setup > My Profile > Video conferencing.

Connect your video conferencing apps to schedule, join, and manage meetings directly from your BoldSales using Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Is email/calendar sync secure?

Yes. OAuth-based integration ensures your credentials are never stored.

Can I delete my profile?

No. Only an admin can deactivate or remove user accounts. A user cannot delete their own account.
