Setting up the User Profile

The user profile lets you personalize your BoldSales by updating your profile details, adjusting display preferences, and connecting your email, calendar, and video conferencing tools for seamless communication and event scheduling.

Profile details

There are two ways to access your profile settings:

  1. Click your Profile icon at the bottom left, then click Click to view and manage your profile icon.

The profile icon is also visible at the top‑right corner of the page, but only on the Home page.

  1. Go to Setup > My Profile > User Details.

Note for non-admin users: If you don’t have access to Manage users, contact your BoldSales administrator to request the required permission.

Note for administrators: For managing permissions, refer to Managing User Permissions (Permission Set).

  1. In the Details tab, you’ll find your basic information, including First name, Last name, Phone number, and Email address. These details define your user information across the BoldSales. Click Edit to modify any information and save.

Preferences

  1. Click your profile icon at the bottom‑left corner.
  2. Select View in dark theme or View in light theme, depending on the theme you want to switch to (or the theme you’re currently using).

Alternatively, go to Setup > My Profile > Preferences, under Application theme, click Edit and select Light or Dark from the dropdown.

  1. Under Time zone, select your preferred time zone (e.g., (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time (US & Canada)). This ensures that timestamps on activities, meetings, and tasks reflect your local business hours. This setting will override the organization’s default time zone.

  2. Under Default view, choose a system view or one of your saved views to load automatically when you open a module. For example, setting All Contacts as the default view in the Contacts module ensures that you’ll always see this view when you open it. This setting will override the organization’s default setting.

Connect your email

Go to Setup > My Profile > Email Setup.

Connect your Gmail, Outlook, or other providers to sync your email communications seamlessly with the BoldSales. Emails are automatically associated with relevant contacts, deals, and other records, ensuring all key interactions are captured in one place. The available provider options depend on your organization’s settings.

Note for non-admin users: If you don’t have access to Override organization email defaults, contact your BoldSales administrator to request the required permission.

Note for administrators: You can’t modify permissions in the built-in Standard User permission set. For managing permissions, refer to Managing User Permissions (Permission Set).

Connecting your calendar

Go to Setup > My Profile > Calendar Setup.

Sync your calendar to keep all your tasks and events in one place. Once connected, your Google or Outlook calendar events can be managed directly from the BoldSales, ensuring your scheduling stays consistent across platforms.

Connect your video conferencing platform

Go to Setup > My Profile > Video conferencing.

Connect your video conferencing apps to schedule, join, and manage meetings directly from your BoldSales using Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Is email/calendar sync secure?

Yes. OAuth-based integration ensures your credentials are never stored.

Can I delete my profile?

No. Only an admin can deactivate or remove user accounts. A user cannot delete their own account.
