Understanding sales document content formats
Standard content format
The Standard content format is used for structured sales documents. This format is used by all system document types and can also be used for custom document types.
Standard content format supports the following:
- PDF compatible documents
- Pricing tables for product and pricing details
- eSignature fields for approvals and acceptance
- Templates to define layout, dynamic fields, and signatures
- Internal document status for approval tracking
- Customer approval workflow which automatically updates the document status based on customer actions, including when the document is sent, opened, accepted, completed, rejected, or revoked.
Standard content format is suitable for documents that require accuracy, approvals, and legal acceptance.
Interactive (Web only) content format
The Interactive content format is used for web based documents designed for engagement. It is available only for custom document types.
Interactive content format supports the following:
- Web only documents
- Rich content such as banners, videos, animations, and embedded URLs
- Single or multiple templates within the same document type
- Internal document status for approval procedures
- Analytics to track customer engagement
Customer engagement is tracked using Analytics metrics such as engagement score, visits, time spent, interactions, CTA clicks, and document views.
Note: Interactive content format does not support PDF output or customer engagement workflows. It is intended for marketing documents and sales collaterals that focus on engagement and insights.

No. Document type format cannot be changed after creation. Create a new document type if a different format is required.
