Getting started with BoldSales

BoldSales helps you keep track of your leads, deals, and daily work in one place. It’s designed to fit right into your routine, no complicated setup or technical skills required. This guide walks you through the essentials so you can hit the ground running.

Set up your account

Start by personalizing your profile and connecting your email and calendar accounts. These steps help tailor BoldSales to your preferences and keep your schedule and communications in sync.

Explore your home page

  • Access the home page for a quick view of your day

Key sections of the home page include:

  • Activities – View recent emails, tasks, and events
  • Contacts & Companies – Access company profiles
  • Pipelines – Track deals by stage
  • Sales Documents – Access all available sales documents, including both system and custom.

Use the + icons to quickly add records or click View all to open full modules

Navigation tips

  • Use the left sidebar to open modules
  • Press / or click the search bar to find records
  • Press Shift + ? to see all keyboard shortcuts

Add your first contact

  1. Go to the Contacts module from the left sidebar menu, shortcut (G + C).
  2. Click + Contact button.
  3. Fill in the name, email, phone, and company
  4. Click Create deal or Create deal and retain create form

Tip: Use the Import option to upload contacts in bulk using a CSV. For more details, visit Import contacts.

Customize your sales process

Create pipelines

  1. Go to Setup > Modules and Fields > Pipelines
  2. Click Create a new pipeline
  3. Add or rename stages to match your sales flow
  4. Set rules for each stage if needed

Add new deals

  • Go to the Business Process Pipelines module and select Deals.
  • Click + Deal button.
  • Fill in the deal name, stage, contact, owner and any other deal related details.
  • Click Create deal or Create deal and retain create form

You can use tags to categorize deals by region, type, or priority
You can also add many deals at once using the import option. For more details, visit Import pipeline records

Automate repetitive work

Set up workflow rules

  1. Go to Setup from the left sidebar.
  2. In the Setup drawer, navigate to Process Management > Workflow Rules, or Automation > Workflow Rules. Alternatively, use the search bar in the drawer and type Workflow Rules.

  3. Click Click to create workflow rule button.
  4. Define when the rule should run (e.g., on record creation)
  5. Set actions like sending emails or assigning tasks

Create and manage pipeline rules

  1. Go to Setup > Modules and Fields > Pipelines or Setup > Process Management > Pipeline Rules (choose a specific pipeline) or in the search bar, type Pipeline Rules, then select it from the results and choose the pipeline you want to configure.
  2. Open the Pipeline Rules tab. From here, you can view, create, and manage all pipeline rules associated with the selected pipeline.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Do I need to sync my email/calendar right away?

No. You can begin using BoldSales without syncing, and link your accounts anytime later.

Can I control who sees what?

Yes. Use Roles and Permission Sets to manage access and visibility.

What if I upload duplicate data?

The import tool will help you skip during the process.

Can I create more than one pipeline?

Yes. You can create multiple pipelines for different processes.

Can I change fields and modules?

Yes. Go to Setup > Modules and Fields to make adjustments.
